Maycroft Lloyd Loom collaborates with another historic venue in the UK

Here at Maycroft Lloyd Loom, we are delighted to have helped several fabulous locations in the UK enhance their spaces with our range of Lloyd Loom pieces.

In the past, Castle Howard of North Yorkshire, Plas Cadnant Gardens in Anglesey, the Goring Hotel in London, and many other gorgeous venues have chosen some of our most fashionable Lloyd Loom chairs and tables. Our Lloyd Loom furniture is so popular that spotting our Lloyd Loom pieces on television is one of our favourite games!

However, recently we have been honoured to work with a very special client, one of the most important and beautiful attractions in the UK.

The selection process

After a lengthy selection process involving the supply of a sample range of different Lloyd Loom table and chair options, this major client decided to place a significant order with Maycroft Lloyd Loom.

The client, a major UK Visitor attraction, was refitting their restaurant to establish a “high end” venue for Afternoon Tea and wanted a traditional English setting for the furniture and décor. The site owners decided that our Lloyd Loom dining chairs and tables would provide the correct ambience for this new venture. It was also recognised that the Lloyd Loom furniture would be long lasting and can be re-painted when needed to give many more years of service.

Choosing the best Lloyd Loom pieces

As the UK’s leading Lloyd Loom furniture provider, Maycroft Lloyd Loom was contacted to provide a quotation and then several samples of the chosen furniture styles and colours for the ultimate owner to view and test.

The table choice was relatively easy – the Lloyd Loom Bistro table with its classical curved bentwood style and glass over weave top was a natural choice. The chair options discussed included the well-known Bistro Lloyd Loom dining chair which has been a favourite of restaurants, cafes and hotels around the world for many years. The second option discussed was the substantial Hadfield Lloyd Loom dining chair with sloping skirt – another of Maycroft Lloyd Loom’s most popular dining chairs.

The final decision

After much discussion, the client chose to purchase 90 of the Bistro dining chairs and 30 of the Hadfield chairs, along with 60 of the Bistro dining tables would provide the required capacity for the refurbished Tea Room.

With the style sorted, the next decision process was to decide on the paint colour. There are 13 standard colours in the Maycroft Lloyd Loom range, although any paint colour can be supplied if required. The client eventually chose the very popular Artichoke option, which is a very attractive shade of green. It was felt that this colour full reflected the theme that they were trying to achieve.

The order was completed and delivered well in advance of the opening date for the venue. All parties were extremely pleased with the result. The Afternoon Tea programme was opened at the end of May and is now proving to be very popular.
